FM FileMaker Go Web Viewer Bookmarklets

Featured Replies

Hi,

Has anyone found away to get bookmarklets to work in the webviewer on FM Go? For example in FM Pro is I do a 'Set Web Viewer' Script Step 'Go to URL' as javascript:alert('hello') a popup box pops up and says 'hello' but when I run that same script in FM Go nothing appears to happen. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Shawn

Is JavaScript supported in iOS? Remember that there are limitations as to what the browser can do (most famously, not run Flash).

Yes Javascript is supported in IOS and so are bookmarklets. Has anyone been able to get bookmarklets to work in FMGo's web viewer? They work great on FileMaker pro's web viewer.

What happens in iOS Safari if javascript:alert('hello') is typed into the address box?

(I'd try it myself but I cannot find the iPod Touch just now.)

A message box pops up that says "hello" just like on the desktop from mobile Safari on IOS. I can not get FileMaker Go to do this. I of course have way neater javascript bookmarklets that I want to do, and they work about everywhere except FM Go unless there is something special that needs to be done different for FM Go.
