So I've tried about every permutation of SSL / TTL and ports that I can think of... even tried the automated script that I found on the forums. Despite this I can not, for the life of me, get a script trigger that sends a record via email (SMTP) using gmail to work. Is this just not an option? The from field is a single word, etc... If anyone has this working, could you please enlighten me?

51 views and no responses. That doesn't bode well. Is anyone out there using this feature with another SMTP provider? Perhaps I need to look in to using a different SMTP provider.

Resolved... Ugh. Sometimes the most frustrating 'roadblocks' are the ones you can't believe you didn't figure out earlier.

Note: if you are having problems with SMTP, make sure that you don't have a program installed that blocks outgoing traffic (e.g. LittleSnitch) *slaps forehead*
