i am not having any success accessing connecting to mail account with "ssl=1" as a parameter with any port designated. 25/ 465 / 587

I get an infinite beach ball then FMP stops responding...

however the exact same settings connect and send fine thru OS X mail.

Issue was due to an invalid certificate on the SMTP server.
