Creating custom value-list

Featured Replies

Hi

Here I am with another question.

I really am glad this forum exist and there are nice people there to answer my questions. Thank you.

My question is:

A field can have a dropdown with a valuelist and the user can choose a value and it will return this value in the field.

In my case the user (if clicks on the arrow) needs to open a pop-up with more information on it and if a record is selected, it needs to bring back not only the field from where it's selected, but also 3 more.

See screenshots.

If projectnr is selected it needs also bring back the regel, the activiteit and the type.

You might want to also look at the examples that are posted here:

(Sorry, I don't know how to make this an active link.)

To do what you are asking, you could setup the Regel, Type, and ActiveIt fields to Auto-Enter a Looked-up value (via a relationship based on the ProjectID in the drop-down valuelist field).

To do similar to what you are asking, you could put the related Regel, Type, and ActiveIt fields in the portal.

The difference is if the values are copied from the related table, or if only the ID of the related record is copied from the related table. Both of these methods are used in different ways. If you don't understand the different, please let us know.
