I am using: OSX 10.6 and FM 11 ADV.

I would like to create a checkbook layout that resembles a standard checkbook register as closely as possible. I have fields:

Date

Check

Deposit

ChkAmt

DepAmt

Balance

RunBalance

The simplest plan is to put the whole thing in a portal but the CHECKBOOK table is not related to anything else.

No, you can use a List layout.
