I am currently running a filemaker 9 server with filemaker 9 and 11 clients. I am having trouble connecting to the filemaker server and seeing the databases on the server. When I initally connects via the ip address no available files are listed, however after I ping the filemaker server, the available files appear. Has anyone seen this issue or a similar issue? Thanks in advance.

Can you describe the network a bit? Are you using wireless? Is the server on a fixed IP address? How many NICs in the FMS box?

The server is on an fixed ip address, 1 nic. No wireless.

Is there any difference in the FM9 vs. the FM11 clients? Do the FM11 clients still see the server when the FM9 clients can't?
