Hi,

I would like to install filemaker server in my home pc through DYNDNS. When I install filemaker server, I have an error message "Error 1306. Another application has exclusive access to file c:\program files\filemaker\filemaker server\data\databases\sample\fmserver_sample.fp7. Please shut down all other applications, then click retry"

I already have all the applications closed, and I still get this message..My operating system windows7.

Is there anything I need to do? Many thanks.

What version FM Server?

Have you previously installed a version of FMS?

Do you have a copy for FileMaker Pro running?

Could be your anti-virus software locking the sample file as FMS is trying to access it. Configure your AV software to NOT touch the FMS folder at all.
