Newbies pdefatta Posted January 23, 2011 Newbies Share Posted January 23, 2011 Has anyone integrated bluetooth barcode scanning with Filemaker and Filemaker go iPad? I need to be able to scan VIN's and other simple barcodes and have it fill in a field and remove the focus from the field (like hitting tab or touching the next field). I presume this is common functionality. Any recommendations on a brand of scanner? I need it to connect quickly without a lot of waiting (after the initial pairing). Thanks. Their Bluetooth barcode scanners work with iPad and include the iOS on-screen keyboard support in case you need to manually enter data too. You should probably get the CHS v3 7P version which works well in sunlight and can scan through windshields. Make sure it is the CHS v3 or it won't work with Apple.
