I am new to this forum and File Maker too. I am creating a database of my family tree. I don't have the expertise to do a proper family tree so I am doing a simple tree. However I need a little help. Here are the details

I have created a database where every record is an address book card of an individual. So far we have traced out 350 people in the family tree. So in the database we have 350 individual address cards.

We have fields for spouse, children, and siblings (does not include cousins)

The problem is when I enter something in those fields can it be somehow linked to an existing record? For example If I list my children as John and Lisa I should be able to go to their respective address cards / record.

Any help is highly appreciated.
