SuperContainer and Filemaker Server 11

Hi,

I'm hosting a database on FileMaker Server 11 (not Advanced). We would like to use SuperContainer with this database. Is this possible? I've tried installing SuperContainer using Deployment Option 1 from the Documentation (link), but get the error:

"Can not find FileMaker Server Web Publishing engine. Please make sure Web Publishing Engine is installed and try again."

I believe that we are unable to use Instant Web Publishing, as this is only available if you have Server Advanced or if your database is not on a server. Will this affect our ability to use SuperContainer?

Thanks for any help,

Miriam

The WPE is available with regular FileMaker Server as well as with FMS Advanced. Have you installed the Web Publishing Engine with your FileMaker Server Deployment? Make sure that it is enabled in your FMS Management Console.

If you don't want to deploy the WPE you can still run SuperContainer in stand-alone mode or with Tomcat.

Thanks for the advice Smef. I'll check to make sure we have installed and enabled the WPE.

I have had this issue with Filemaker Server 11 ADV with the WPE enabled on Windows Server 2008 R2. Installing manually worked fine, but the installer always kicks back the error found in the OP.

I'll do some testing on server2008 R2 and see what issues i can uncover with the installer.
