Age Categories Using Nested If Statements

Hi,

I am trying to use nested If statements to calculate age brackets (young, middle-age, old) based on an age field.

This is my current script:

If(Age <= 35, "Young- 18-35",If(Age <= 64, "Middle Aged- 36-64", "Old- Over 65"))

The Young and Old categories are working just find, but the Middle-Aged just show as a question mark.

Anyone have any suggestions to modify the script?

Thanks!

Make sure the result type is set to Text, and that the field is wide enough. BTW, the Case() function is much better suited for this than nested If()s.

That worked, many thanks!
