steigrafx
I know this has been addressed before, but I can't seem to find a "bottom line" answer. When I place a pdf in a container field -- no matter what options I choose -- my database increases in size tremendously. Although I've read about others having this problem, there seems to be no solution other than using something like 360works Supercontainer. Is that the only alternative? Thanks, Kevin
innodat
I've just been trying to use applescript (solution is Mac OS X) to determine the file size, then warn the user if it is too large (and remove it). Not very elegant, but would allow me to limit the PDF sizes to something reasonable. Since you know about SuperContainer, I'm sure you are aware of the option to store a filepath only, instead of the file itself?
steigrafx
Thanks for the reply, rheinport. No, I was not aware that I could store just the file path. If I store the file path, will my users be able to double-click to open the pdf file and view it? If so, how do I store the file path? Thank you, Kevin
