How can I set Filemaker to open a specific layout like "About" and then open a specific record when meta is selected?

I know this is a simple issue, but I cannot seem to find the answer.

Using a Mac/SnowLepard, FilemakerPro Advanced.

There are two ways to do it.

You can create a script and in that script setup the things you want to always happen when the file opens, which includes the "Go To Layout" script step. Then go to "File Options" under the "File" menu (might be the Application menu on Mac sorry I am on a PC) then the File Options window pops up with things to do on Open/Close so then you just add the script to the "Perform script:" section of "When opening this file"

If all you want is a layout that someone goes to each time the file opens then you could just set it in the "File Options" by checking "Switch to Layout:"

Hope that helps.
