Newbies darinm Posted March 23, 2011 Newbies Posted March 23, 2011 Hello all I am new to this forum, so saying hi and also asking a question. I am a File Maker newbie, but a seasoned network admin/systems admin, working with Windows and Mac. We run Filemaker 10 pro clients on 3 of our terminal servers and are experiencing an issue where users are not able to access some databases that have a blank account name. They get an authentication error, saying that the password they used cannot be used for that database. We found that in the account name field, there was a leading space. We had the user click in the field and remove that space, and they were able to log in just fine. I have attached a screenshot of where I am talking about.... My question is, where is that stored, so I can modify it and change / remove the space for all users? Thanks so much! Darin

Vaughan Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Also check the default username that is entered into the authentication dialog: this is in Edit > Preferences
