Newbies darinm Posted March 23, 2011 Newbies Share Posted March 23, 2011 Hello all I am new to this forum, so saying hi and also asking a question. I am a File Maker newbie, but a seasoned network admin/systems admin, working with Windows and Mac. We run Filemaker 10 pro clients on 3 of our terminal servers and are experiencing an issue where users are not able to access some databases that have a blank account name. They get an authentication error, saying that the password they used cannot be used for that database. We found that in the account name field, there was a leading space. We had the user click in the field and remove that space, and they were able to log in just fine. I have attached a screenshot of where I am talking about.... My question is, where is that stored, so I can modify it and change / remove the space for all users? Thanks so much! Darin

Vaughan
Also check the default username that is entered into the authentication dialog: this is in Edit > Preferences
