Hello, 360works,

I have all my Docs stored on a NAS drive using DocIDs as their names. I'd like to attach a document to an email (EmailAttachFile ( data )), but I'd like the document to have a user-friendly name. I'll have that name stored.

How can I attach a document, and change its name?

The email plugin doesn't have any built-in functionality for renaming files, but you can use scriptmaster to rename the files before uploading them.

I believe that SM doesn't work on the server, right? So, I'd need to download from NAS using SM on a robot (if I want to avoid a FM client) and rename. Then attach. Right?

All of our plugins (other than admin anywhere) work in filemaker pro, filemaker server, and IWP (with the correct license). ScriptMaster is free and works in all of those places.

Terrific...why didn't I know that? So, I can "process" my attachments using a Server Script and SM. Thanks.
