How to approximate sliding fields on iPad?

Okay, so I know from the Dev Guide that sliding fields are not supported in FM Go for iPad. I'm trying to set up an on-site equipment inspection solution that will package inspection results into a PDF report to be sent to management and maintenance from the field. The report includes a comments section, and may have entries here of varying length, which I don't want cut off in the PDF. Any suggestions for a way to approximate sliding that is compatible with FM Go for iPad?

Where in the dev guide does it say this?

Sliding/printing only displays in Preview mode regardless of platform.

UPDATE: I just found the reference in the FM Go TechBrief v1.1.2:

"FileMaker Go does not optimize PDFs for printing. For example, object sliding is not supported and choosing not to print objects is not supported. Displaying web viewers is not supported."
