Newbies Thomas Aqui Posted March 15, 2001 Newbies Posted March 15, 2001 I have a database with 2-3 dozen layouts, and all fields are printing in all layouts except for 1-2 layouts... and in these two totally different layouts, not all the text fields are printed, even though they are set to print and no other field is obscuring them. I've tried to get rid of the fields, re-defined the "problem" fields, and alway get the same problem. Some other times, I might re-defined one field, and it will print, then another field on the same layout, will then not print. All the fields always show up in "preview" mode, but still do not print. Arrrggghhhhhhh!! What am I missing/:/:??
BobWeaver Posted March 15, 2001 Posted March 15, 2001 This problem has come up in the past, and a couple of the causes are: If a line break character has somehow gotten into the field as the first character, and the field is set up as a single line, the contents will be hidden. This happens more often than you might think. Sometimes a layout gets corrupted, and you will have to completely recreate a new version of the layout.
LiveOak Posted March 16, 2001 Posted March 16, 2001 Sometimes positioning is critical. If a body field overlaps a subsummary part, only the first record after the leading subsummary part will print. You might see if any of the body fields in question overlap, header, footer, or subsummary parts. -bd
