FMP10 client slow on XP - Known issues?

Hello, first post here. I did a search and didn't an answer.

I am deploying FM10 server on a Win 2003 Std Server. The clients are FMP10 clients on Win XP. They have fast machines and at least 2GB RAM. When they open the FMP client, it takes almost a full minute or more to launch. Then trying to open a remote DB takes even longer. Just maximizing the window after it does finally open takes an incredibly long time. I am on a Vista machine and it seems to be running well on this machine. But I wanted to get some experience input from the community.

What would you think the problem is? Are there known performance issues with FMP10 and WinXP? Anyone might have some suggestions on what might be causing the slowness?

There could be many things causing it. Try downloading and installing the FMP 11 trial and see if anything changes.

No known issues of that nature...

Are you using any plugins? These load when FM loads and can cause delays.

Are the users on roaming profiles where there documents and settings are on some other server?
