email body field

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'd like to send emails with the body to have a list of names and addresses from fields. Sending the email is ok but how do I get all the names and addresses into the message body?

many thanks,

nati

One easy way is to use a calculated field as the body of the e-mail.

Just use a calculated field to concatenate in the fields you want to include.

That's it.

Hi CaelC and thanks for the reply.

I gave that a go earlier but wasn't successful. If I have ten records with ten different folks names I wasn't able to loop through and put all those names in one field, it kept showing me only the last name!

BTW, I'm sorry I didn't notice the rating system before! All the help I've received and never rated anybody! Forgive me, I'll not let it happen again!

Set up a global text field (new field), create a script that will loop and set the global field to a collection of the names.

Go to Record [first]

loop

set field [new field], new field & your name field & "," (or whatever delineator you want)

go to record [next, extit after last]
