Attach more than 1 file in an email

Featured Replies

I want to attach more than 1 file in an email using the "send mail" script step. Currently, the send mail script step only allows for 1 attachment. Is there a work around for this or do I have to try to create an apple event and a DDE execute script step in my cross-platform database?

THANKS!!!

Are you against using plug-ins? If not, try our email sending plug-in, SMTPit. It will allow you to attach any number of files as well as several other things that the default Send Mail script step can't do. It is completely cross platform; you don't have to do one thing for one platform and another for the other. You also will _not_ need any external email client to send the email. SMTPit connects directly to your mail server to send the email.

If you are interested, you can download a full working demo, with full working example databases at our website:

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us.

PS. DDE is a *big* pain in the behind to do *anything*. Save yourself from hours of frustration and don't use it.

Thanks for the reply!!! I will check into the plug-in. Happy to hear that others feel the same way about DDE.

I like the plug-in approach a lot. Seems to work quite well.
