Automatically scroll to top of list view with sub-summaries

This is such a basic question I'm almost embarrassed to ask, but I cannot seem to find a solution on these forums or elsewhere.

I am running Filemaker 10 on Windows 7.

My database keeps track of incoming and outgoing exchange students at a university.

The issue I am having goes happens in all my layouts with "sub-summary when sorted by..." layout parts, but for simplicity's sake, I'll just describe one.

One of my list views is a list of all incoming students in a given semester. There are "sub-summary when sorted by..." layout parts for regions of the world (Asia, Europe, etc.) Countries (China, Thailand, USA, Canada) and universities (Beijing University, Chulalungkorn University, etc.) with students listed in the body.

The layout works as I want it to in that when I generate a list, I get something like the following:

Asia (5 students)

China (2 students)

Beijing University (2 students)

Student A

Student B

Thailand (3 students)

Chulalungkorn University (2 students)

Student C

Student D

University of Bangkok (1 student)

Student E

etc.

The issue is that whenever I generate the list, the top of the screen is always "Student A" and I need to scroll up to reveal the Asia, China, and Beijing University, layout parts above it. It's not hard to scroll that one cm, but I think it looks messy and unprofessional and would like for the user to see the list from the top without scrolling.

Using the script step Go to Record/Request/Page [First] only scrolls up as far as Student A. I have tried Go to Field to navigate to a field in the top layout part, and also tried naming a field in that layout part and using Go to Object, but neither works.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Mike

Hi Vincent,

Thank you so much. It was so embarrassingly obvious. I must have scrolled past that script step 100 times.

Your solution worked perfectly. Thanks.

Mike
