Newbies sparkosaurus Posted September 16, 2001 Newbies Posted September 16, 2001 Ok...I'm very new to FileMaker but have been a Mac user since 84..so I know my way around troubleshooting printers and such...here is my problem.. I'm printing a record out of my very small FileMaker database (less than 50 records). The record has maybe 30 fields in it, most of which are actually empty. The layout is nothing fancy...very straight and away...this should rip out of the printer as fast as any one page word document...probably quicker... I've got my Mac connected wireless (Airport) to the network....to print the single record takes a good 5 minutes...it screams out of FM5 but chokes in getting the data from my desktop printer to the actual printer. Originally I had my Mac hardwired to my printer (USB) and it still took forever...when I turned background printing off and printed in the foreground. It was blazing fast....now that I'm wireless and printing to an IP address, it's choking again.... I can't tell if this is a problem with filemaker or something else...does anyone have a suggestion? thanks spark
Anatoli Posted September 16, 2001 Posted September 16, 2001 Is it only FileMaker or also other applications over IP?
