Sliding a date field: gets truncated

This is strange one I can't understand:

If I use the "sliding left" for a date field, the value gets truncated (I have tried different date formats): it seems to cut on the 9 if the date shows as "01/10/09". If the slide is removed, the date displays ok. (and the field width is wide enough...)

Any suggestion?

It sounds like a font problem to me. Have you tried changing to a different font?
