Hi all,

I have container fields which are populated via a text field. If the text field contains the value that is against the graphic that graphic is brought up in the field.

So i have two container fields and text fields LEFT FITTING and LEFT FITTING ACCESSORY. when the left fitting text field has

"TL 426 "The required fitting is inserted to the container field. Now if i go to my left fitting accessory field and select "DUST CAP" the graphic comes up but there is a clash and i see two graphics overlapping! The selection of TL 426 is still there.

Is it possible to say if left fitting contains anything but "NONE" clear LEFT FITTING FIELD? then if none was selected in the Left Accessory the Left fitting Graphic would stay.

Appreciate any help

Thanks

It's not clear...are you the developer of this solution? From what you describe, it's working correctly. Two calc fields, result container, that are driven by the choices in two text fields. You'd need to change the calc in the first container to have an If IsEmpty ( LeftFittingAccessory ) conditional.

Thank you for your reply

In our company we are trying to create an intelligent configurator for the assembly of hoses. I am working on filemaker to get the main concept working you see, i have many tables to accomodate many different graphic proportion sizes of fittings on the main slection layout. Its fine for just any left fitting table because all the graphics are linked to that single field in the main table "left fitting".But when there is another table linked to another text field. The graphic comes up but it has nothing to tell it that there is a graphic in the left fitting container. It cant replace it.

I hope this makes sense, I will try your suggestion also

Thanks

Rereading your post makes me suspect your data model is not correct. What are you tables and relationships?
