I have a working database that I need to add to but can't figure out how to do it. I am a composer and as such I get royalties quarterly from different publishers. My Database lists each track along with the total earned per quarter and the name of the publisher but what I WANT to do is to have a page that shows me the total for that quarter for each particular publisher side by side. All I am able to do is to get it to show me the quarterly total for one track and one publisher and it's driving me mad.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Firstly, do you have the developer master password? You need this password in order to add/change functionality in the system.

If so, FM does not easily support pivot tables (showing publisher data side by side). Rather FM thinks vertically, ie, listing each publisher and a subtotal by publisher in a list.

Read up on sub-summary reports. Hopefully, your data structure was designed well and you have a child table of earnings that have a publisherID and DateEarned. That table will be the basis for your sub-summary report.
