Sending email with Thunderbird

Featured Replies

FM 11, Adv. My email client is Thunderbird 3. When I send an email from FM through my client, the email is addressed correctly and has the correct message, but Thunderbird does not automatically send it. I have to manually click the send button. Since I will be sending email to a long list via script how can I make Thunderbird send the email automatically?

I am fairly certain that you will need to connect directly to an SMTP server to do this, unless you can script Thunderbird to automatically send everything in the Drafts folder periodically

If you are sending a lot of mail or intend to I would definitely recommend going down the SMTP route, mainly because its scaleable.
