Plugin Showing Old Version

Featured Replies

I'm having a weird problem that I hope someone has figured out. I had an old version of ScriptMaster (3.33). After deleting it from the Extensions directory and copying in the new version it still shows version 3.33. So I tried deleting the plugin file from the directory and restarting filemaker, and when I go into Preferences to view the plugins it still shows the plugin is there and it still says version 3.33. Any ideas on how to make Filemaker update the plugin list?

It sounds like you have another copy of 3.33 under another Extensions folder. There are two Extensions folders for Filemaker: the User path and the Application path. Check to be sure there is only one copy of the plug-in. Also, if you want to use our Autoupdater, you should put your extensions in the User directory.

This is very strange. I was not able to find any Extension folders outside of the Filemaker folder. However when I used the Autoupdater it does seem to have fixed the problem. I then used Spotlight to find all plugins and ScriptMaster isn't showing up. It still works though. Is it a hidden folder?

Yeah, on Lion the Library folder is hidden. I don't know why in the world they thought that was a good idea, but that's what they did.

Ahh, that explains it. I thought there was something missing from my home folder. Thanks for your help!
