In a Columnar/List Report how can you surpress repeating data?

I'd like to make this:

Description Size Color

T-shirt L Red

T-shirt L White

T-shirt L Blue

Look like this:

Description Size Color

T-shirt L Red

White

Blue

First of all, if you're actually using a repeating field, replace it with a related file and a portal. That will make many, many things easier -- including this problem.

In the related file, create a sub-summary part based either on the product or a calc of product & size. That way, you can generate a report like this (for example):

T-shirt L

Red

Blue

White

T-shirt M

Red

White

Sweatshirt L

Green

Brown

If I use a portal is this going to restrict me from putting the Filemaker database on a web server using Web Companion? I've already run into some restrictions using multiple script commands.

Also, by using a portal can I produce a columnar report that eliminates repeating data like the example given previously which unfortunately wasn't tabbed properly?
