sdennie Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Is there a way to test the access privileges you set up for a user, to make sure they do what you want them to do? Can you somehow do that without logging out of your master account, logging into the other one, and going back and forth until you get it right? I'm trying to avoid having frustrated users tell me that Filemaker won't let them do what I told them they would be able to do. Wish I could test things more easily. Our database is hosted by PointinSpace.com. The trick of holding down the shift key while logging in doesn't seem to work with that.
Fitch Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I suggest you make a Re-login script, that will make it a little less painful to switch back and forth. (Forcing the password dialog to appear with Shift on Windows/ Option on Mac shouldn't be affected by your hosting service. Something else is going on there, my guess is the file is already open but hidden.)
