Multipage field - lining text up with pages.

A few months ago I found an excellent post here which explained how to set up a layout so that a field which spanned multiple pages would print properly regardless of how much text was in the field. For example you could have a field be the body of a letter and if the letter was short it would print a proper one page letter or if the body was longer it would print a two or more page letter without text getting chopped between pages.

Anyone know who wrote it and how to find it? I need it again. I have searched but I can't come up with it.
