Is there a way to instant message across Filemaker? So one user can contact another through the server? I'm using Server 11...

Not really, at least not natively. if you are the Server Administrator you can send a one-way message from the Server Admin Console to a connected user. But the user must have FIleMaker Pro in the foreground to see the message.

Thanks...but is there some plug in allowing users on the same network to instantly correspond.

Check the Troi website. http://www.troi.com. They had something like this at one time. However, i don't know whether they still do. Also consider the security implications of such a plug-in's use.
