January 3, 201213 yr I didn't see a Forum called "Dumb Questions", so since Mange Databases is related to Relationships I thought I would ask here. I can't figure out why my new installation of FileMaker Pro 11 Advanced will not recognize the Shift-CMD-D keystroke to manage databases. It does nothing. I have gone into the OSX keyboard preference panel and went through all of the sections for keyboard shortcuts, including all the services, and I don't see this duplicated in any active config, yet it still does nothing when pressed in FileMaker regardless of mode I am in. Anyone else see this and have a solution? Since you use this frequently it would be nice to have it working. Thanks! -Steve
January 3, 201213 yr No. That's a new one to me. Can you Select Manage Databases through the File Menu? Lee

January 3, 201213 yr Author No. That's a new one to me. Can you Select Manage Databases through the File Menu? Yes, everything works fine except that shortcut, and when I hit it I see *nothing* happen, no menu bar flash, no other programs opening, nothing. Very strange. And thanks for moving me to the right place. [uPDATE: I don't know why it is, but I did go into the System Preferences and created an Application-Specific shortcut for the menu label "Database..." with CTRL-CMD-D and now I have a workable shortcut. I still don't know why the default one is not working. I did try to manually assign that in System Preferences and it didn't complain about it being a duplicate assignment, but it didn't work either.]
January 6, 201213 yr Go to Tools option on Main Menu. Then select Custom Menus --> [standard FileMaker Menus] It might be helpful to u.
