bobsmith Posted January 16, 2002 Posted January 16, 2002 I have an application that has 80+ databases. We will need to make some changes in the way we handle passwords. Currently we use groups and allow anyone in the group to have the same rights. We need to narrow this down by using individual passwords for about 300 +/- users. The problems are originally setting up that many passwords in 80 files and the fact that these users change on a somewhat frequent basis. I would like to hear from anyone that has used DialogMagic to change passwords over a number of databases. All replys will be appreciated. If anyone knows of another plugin to accomplish this task I would like to hear about that also. Thanks
Steven H. Blackwell Posted January 16, 2002 Posted January 16, 2002 DM 5.5 works very well for this purpose. It changes passwords; it does not create them. There is a demo on New Millennium's website: http://www.newmillennium.com HTH Old Advance Man
falkaholic Posted March 11, 2002 Posted March 11, 2002 is there any other plugs-in or ways to change mass passwords? I've looked at DM and it seems a little ghetto and weird.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted March 11, 2002 Posted March 11, 2002 What is that supposed to mean? DM works just fine. It has many uses other than mass changing of passwords, but ti works well for that. I use it frequently. Old Advance Man
