I cannot now reproduce this behavior... but with a given type of field ( I do not remember ) the script step:

Perform Find/Replace

has created four local $vars:

$null

$CLRemainder (with reps)

$CLn (with reps)

$CLExeCount

They were visible only with the Data Viewer.

Does anybody know anything about them ?

Wow! Replying to this to keep it bumped. This is truly strange behavior. I haven't seen it, but I virtually never use that step.

Could there have been a custom menu or a script trigger involved in file you saw this behavior in?

Absolutely no.

And I must say that I never used such names for my $vars.
