Scripting Multi Sort Levels

The Sort dialog box allows you to sort on multiple fields, this I understand.

But I was wondering if there is a way to script that same functionality? If I give users access to the Sort Dialog they won't want to scroll through the list of fields to find the one's they want so I was hoping I could script it. Is this possible? I haven't been able to do it.

Anyone?
