This afternoon I attended the event in Toronto. I was only able to attend the first 90 minutes. I was pleased with the announcement of the Canadian team. I learned a lot about version 12 in a very short time. One thing surprised me though. There were many developers in attendance, but I didn't hear one single question about the severe problems being discussed on the forum. There were plenty of questions too. Perhaps someone who stayed until 4:30 may have heard differently later on?
