April 15, 201213 yr I'm having an issue installing SCv2.861 on Lion 10.7.3 server, FMS12.01 Webserver is running OK, but the SC Mac installer is saying Webserver is not deployed. This machine had FMS11 running before, which was un-installed prior to FMS12. Could there be any remnants of FMS11 interfering? ( the mod_jk.conf file in the attached error message is present ). TIA Peter
April 16, 201213 yr Yes, most likely... This error is thrown if the: /Library/FileMaker Server/Web Publishing/publishing-engine/jwpc-tomcat directory does not exist in a FMS12 install. Or, if you have another "FileMaker Server" directory in the "/Library" folder that only contains the "Web Publishing" folder (i.e., an older install of FMS is hiding out there). If this is not the case, let me know so that I can help troubleshoot this issue further. We are working on fixing this in our source so that SC will be able to install in the appropriate directory regardless of whether a rogue FMS11 instance is still lingering on your hard drive. Regards,
April 16, 201213 yr Author hello Obinna there was a SuperContainer folder in the folder: FileMakerServer/Web Publishing/publishing-engine/wpc-tomcat I removed it but this did not solve the issue. In FMS11 there are a number of files in this folder, but I think in FMS12 because of the new architecture, this might indeed be empty. Should I remove the entire wpc-tomcat folder?
April 17, 201213 yr In FMS12, the folder structure looks similar to this. in FileMaker Server 11, the file structure looks similar to this: Any other folder names/directories could potentially mess with the installation of SuperContainer. I hope this helps.
