Howdy,

I cannot believe I cannot find an answer to something that must be so obvious.

When I am working, with a pre made template, in the editing mode it looks great.

I have added extra fields, got everything lined up, bob's your uncle, fanny's your aunt.

I then go to use it and I find boxes are larger, drop downs are not exactly where I placed them, etc.

What is it that I have got so completely wrong please?

I have google every ruddy term I can thing of to track this down, and no luck.

It sounds like anchors are on. Select an object then in Inspector go to Position tab and the Autosizing section. If the right and bottom arrows are on, click them to remove it and see if it works then.

UPDATE: If you've never used autosizing, you may need to play around a bit to figure out how they work. Once you understand them, they are cool but they can catch you off guard if you copy/paste objects and don't remember to check that setting on each object.

I had thought it was something like Autosizing but was rubbish enough to have found the options for it.

I have just figured out it was down to the browse window being set too large, as soon as I reduced it all the elements lined up as they should.
