Type 1 is a memory error. The machine is trying to access more memory than it has.

What applications are you running? Is the unexpected quit repeatable (ie happens the same every time)?

Have you tried troubleshooting your extensions? Open extensions manager, make a note of which extensions are turned on, then turn off all but the base OS extensions (an option in the pop-up menu).

Open FMP and try to produce your error. If the error does not occur, you have an extensions conflict. To find which extension is causing the trouble, turn them on one at a time (rebooting each time) and test FMP until the crash is repeatable.

This might take a while. There aren't really any shortcuts. However, if you're running shareware or freeware programs, or if there's anything unusual about your system, you might save time by looking at that first.

If it isn't an extensions conflict ... I don't really know what to suggest without more information. A clean install of your system and FMP would take care of most issues, but is overkill.
