Illegal Operations errors on Some Windows Machines

Featured Replies

Some of my Windows users are receiving illegal operations errors when performing operations in files that are doing large calculations. Some of the errors include "Invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL" , "FILEMAKER PRO caused an exception 10H in module MSVCRT.DLL at 0177:7802cd03", and "FILEMAKER PRO caused an invalid page fault in module MFC42.DLL at 0177:5f4012a1". These problems have just began in the last 2-3 months, and no one has made any significant changes to their operating systems. Does anyone have any possible sollutions?

I'm a Mac person forced to deal with cross-platform users. What I know about Windows, to date, is a result of tracking down crashes and other error messages similar to the ones you've just described. You didn't say which version of FMP you use (we have v4 installed) butI'll share with you what I've compiled (and I quote):

Old machines (Trigem P 160) with NT4 are running FM 4 and FM 5 on 15 machines with 1 - 2 crashes during 2 years on all computers together.

In the same company they changed old Trigems for HP Brio with 98 gizmo.

Several crashes on all machines every week, lost of data, disconnection.
