Newbies cmorning Posted June 30, 2001 Newbies Posted June 30, 2001 I am new to Filemaker so excuse me if this is a dumb question. At our church we have moved a FM database from a users workstation to a SBS4.5 (NT4.0) server so that it will get backed up to tape each night. The problem is that as long as the data resides on the server and is openned from a workstation, it will only open as a read-only database. If I move it back to the workstation it opens just fine. The database was placed in a folder on the server that is shared with full rights to the users that need to access the data. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Chris [email protected]
Anatoli Posted June 30, 2001 Posted June 30, 2001 You cannot open database on client; it is already opened on server. You must connect to the server via button HOST in client.
