jocuva Posted August 3, 2001 Share Posted August 3, 2001 My problem is that I have just acquired FM and in my company we have MAC and PC, and I would thank them if you can guide me (FAQ) of as connecting PC/MAC or MAC/PC to across of TCP/IP ambient client-server and if one can in windows/98/ME or only in WIN/2000. Kurt Knippel Posted August 3, 2001 Share Posted August 3, 2001 Filemaker contains all the necessary stuff to host databases over TCP/IP and connect to Filemaker databases over TCP/IP. Just make sure that you set all copies of Filemaker (both Mac and Windows) to use TCP/IP networking. Something that you need to be aware of is that if you are serving databases to many clients (say 5 or more) then you should be using Filemaker Server, both for performance and security.
