September 7, 200124 yr Newbies We both have FM Pro 5, but he's on a Mac, and I'm on Windows. What do we need to do in order to exchange information. We're not networked, and that option is not open to us.
September 7, 200124 yr Newbies Floppies, cd's, zips are the options. Macs can read Windows disks, and, with something like Conversions Plus, Windows can read Mac disks -- but we haven't succeeded in my PC being able to open the Mac Filemaker Pro 5 files. What do we have to do. I guess I wasn't all that clear in the original question. Sorry. [ September 07, 2001: Message edited by: msohns ]
September 9, 200124 yr 1.Make sure that the DOS extension is included, .fpd – without this Windows is lost. 2.Install the program “MacOpener 2000” on your Windows machine. I’ve never found a better program. You don’t even know it’s there. Only tip here is avoid using folders, as the Windows machine will have problems opening Mac folders.
