FM 5 on NT server auto start up and quit

Hi,

I'm not a specialist so I need your help on this one.

I have FM 5 running on a Win NT server. I would like to know if it is possible to program the server to start up FM at 8 am. and to make it quit the application at 8 pm.

Thus my db could be integrated in the total server backup on dat that is scheduled evry night at 10 pm.

You could use the AT command in NT to shutdown and restart FileMaker but you would need some type of script within Filemaker to shutdown the databases before NT ran the AT command to shut FileMaker.

We are doing that every night. Use FM backup schedule and that will copy FM databases to location you'll specify for total server backup.
