We are using FM11 clients (8) and FM server under W2003 server. On the same server is also running a print server.

When printing a report

a. the set-up screen for the printer reacts very slow

b. after confirmation, FM11 is very busy to spool the report

Someone know any tips?

I have had this problem on one machine, for me it was as simple as updating the print drivers or downgrading to ps instead of pcl and turning off the advanced print features. but I am sure their can be lots of different reasons its not working... if you are running through a print server, try restarting the service for the print server...

I do not now if we can help with this without getting lots of infor from you..

Yes: dedicate the server to FMS and move the print server to another box.

What Vaughan said. We do not recommend the configuration you are presently using.
