danjacoby Posted April 19, 2002 Posted April 19, 2002 So this client with three PCs networked, with three copies of FMP (one on each machine), and the files on the machine we'll call the "Server", has a container field in which pictures are imported -- well, actually a link is created (there are thousands of records, each with one pic). Even though another machine (not the Server) is used when creating the links, many of the linked pics cannot be seen on either of the two non-Server computers (they can all be seen on the Server). When the link is re-created, it works fine, until the user closes and reopens the FMP file, and then it's screwed up again. Any ideas? Any questions? Anyone for tennis?
StevenB Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 Here's the serve! Have you tried sharing the location of the pics across the network and mapping the same drive letter for ALL computers - even on the one with the pics. Just go through the network neighborhood and map a drive letter to the shared location. When creating the link - use the new drive letter instead of the computer name. Just a thought. Hope it helps - let me know.
