slbr549
Our FMServer 5 is located on a MacIntosh, and our Images are located on a different MacIntosh Server. We are trying to import images off of the MacIntosh Server using the "Import by reference". The problem we are having is after we import several hundred images, the Windows PC no longer sees the directories on the MacIntosh Server. The images that have already been imported are not affected, but we have to literally reboot the MacIntosh server in order for the Windows machine to see the entire directory structure. Has this happened to anyone? If so, what is the cause and how do we fix it? I have a few thousand images to import and this problem is causing severe productivity problems. Thanks. jlm
Did you turn off all the energy saver control panels ? They don't check the ethernet or serial ports... Is FM updating or saving data at idle time ? It's the best setting. JLM
LiveOak
HUH? Kurt suggests that the problem is that the windows machines are losing the path reference to the files. If you have a LOT (REALLY A LOT)of graphics files, you might be exceeding an OS limit for a directory (?). -bd
