reading files from a MAC with a PC

Someone has sent me FM files to work with that were created on a MAC but I can't seem to read them. They come in to my computer as *.SIT and I am not sure what they are. I have FM5.5. Any ideas or suggestions. I am trying to find out what version they have.

.SIT is the tag for a file compressed with Aladdyn Systems' Stuffit. You can download a free expander at Aladdin's website .

Once you've expanded the files, make sure they have the .FP5 tag -- Macs don't need "dot-3" tags, and it's quite possible that whoever created this either never figured it would be used on a Windows machine, or didn't know that the tag was needed.
