Hi, I see in the FMI site that the recommended Windows operating systems for installing FMS12 are:

- Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition SP2 * (64-bit)

- Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 * (64-bit)

Is there any difference in terms of performance of using either of them? which one would you go for? thanks in advance!

Can't really judge performance from just an OS version. Going on the assumption that we're talking about identical hardware, the most recent OS (R2) should be more efficient than the older Standard edition. It will also keep you longer in the Windows support window.
